Common questions
Will my existing ceiling joists form the new floor?
Not necessarily. Ceiling joists are not automatically suitable for habitable floor loads. The engineer assesses the existing arrangement and designs a solution.
Does every loft conversion need steel beams?
No single solution fits every roof. The proposed layout, spans and available support determine the appropriate structural approach.
